Fien Verdoodt, MVetMed, Veterinarian and PhD-candidate at the Faculty of Veterinary medicine Ghent University. She is currently performing a doctoral research regarding the role of the microbiota-gut-brain axis in canine idiopathic epilepsy under the mentorship of prof. dr Myriam Hesta and dr. Sofie Bhatti. The area of her scientific interest lays in the clinical nutrition of companion animals, neurology and discovering how these apparent different fields influence each other.
