Fien Verdoodt, MVetMed, Veterinarian and Postdoc at the Faculty of Veterinary medicine Ghent University. Her doctoral research explored the role of the microbiota-gut-brain axis in canine idiopathic epilepsy under the mentorship of prof. dr Myriam Hesta, dr. Sofie Bhatti and dr. Lieselot Hemeryck. The area of her scientific interest lays in the clinical nutrition of companion animals, neurology and discovering how these apparent different fields influence each other.
