Sam Millet graduated as veterinarian at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ghent University in 2000. In 2004, he obtained a PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition in the same faculty. After a short stay at UC Davis in California, he joined the Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research (ILVO). He is a Diplomate of the European College of Porcine Health Management. At present, he is research group leader of the “pig husbandry” group. He is also visiting professor pig nutrition at the faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He is currently president of the study commission on pigs of EAAP. Sam is author or co-author of several scientific publications on pig husbandry.
