„Hello, my name is Marcin, and I come from Poland. I’ve had a strong interest in veterinary cardiology since graduating in 2015. In 2020, I joined the Department of Veterinary Cardiology at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Ghent University in Belgium, as an assistant. Over the past four years, I’ve been actively involved in the small animal cardiology unit at the university referral hospital. My responsibilities include providing cardiology consultations, supporting emergency care for cardiac patients, and participating in interventional procedures. Alongside my clinical work, I’m pursuing a PhD focused on cardiac function in critically ill dogs and patients with sepsis. I’m also engaged in teaching veterinary students on the clinical foundations of cardiology and delivering courses on basic cardiology and point-of-care ultrasound for interns and hospital staff. Additionally, I contribute to various echocardiography courses across Belgium. My main professional interests include both conventional and advanced echocardiographic techniques, as well as thoracic point-of-care ultrasound. I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience in the field.”
