Mari Heinonen is Professor in Swine Medicine at the University of Helsinki. She is also a Diplomate of the ECPHM. She has worked in the Veterinary Faculty as a professor, department head, researcher and clinical teacher. In addition to that, she has had positions as a health care veterinarian in slaughterhouse, local practitioner and a local official veterinarian. She has publications about pig medicine, epidemiology, welfare and reproduction.
