Dierenartsassistente met extra opleiding spoed en kritische zorg
I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and went straight into locuming around the South East of England whilst simultaneously learning dutch. This was in a variety of workplaces such as out of hours clinics, hospitals and lambing seasons. After moving to Belgium I worked in a horse clinic carrying out Scintigraphy Scanning before moving back into GP small animal work for 3 years. Currently I work in the hospitalisation department of Ghent University for small animals where I completed the Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care which is my area of interest. I am a Recover trained rescuer and give regular lessons to last year vet students in nursing techniques such as; catheter care, handling of painful patients/pain scoring, care/use of feeding tubes and reanimation.
