Physical therapy can offer added value as part of a patient's treatment plan.
The Academy for Veterinary Medicine offers evidence-based physical therapy training for veterinarians and physical therapists.
The training consists of two modules: an introductory module and a species-specific module (dog or horse).
In the 2025-2026 academic year, the training will be offered as a whole. You will therefore register for the full course “Animal Physiotherapy Dog,” consisting of the basic module “Introduction to Animal Physiotherapy” in the fall of 2025 and the species-specific module “Physiotherapy Dog” in the spring of 2026.
“Animal Physiotherapy for Horses” will be offered in the same way in the 2026-2027 academic year.
